Did 2016 leave you feeling tired and stressed? Do you suffer from headaches, muscle stiffness, joint pain, brain fog, indigestion, insomnia or hair loss? Have you recently had a cold or flu or are you having a hard time losing weight?
If you feel like you have tried “everything,” but nothing has really worked to help your health issues, consider these three easy solutions to ease what ails you.
More energy, mental clarity, better sleep, less pain and increased happiness and motivation is in store for you when you implement the following solutions into your New Year’s resolutions.
Simple Solution 1: Eat Organic, Non-GMO, Nutrient-Dense Foods
Many people ask me if a healthy diet alone supplies enough vitamins and minerals. Eating healthy food is always advised, but is often easier said than done. Some people find it difficult to eat six to nine servings of fruits and vegetables daily and three well-balanced meals and healthy snacks each day. Nutritional imbalances may even cause weight loss resistance!
Simply put, Americans have been overfed and undernourished for a very long time. In fact, most obese children and adults are actually malnourished. While that might sound contradictory, an abundance of calories does not necessarily deliver the right nutrients for your body. The very opposite is true: Overeating can create nutritional deficiencies. It’s possible to consume too many calories and insufficient nutrients. And guess what? You need vitamins and minerals to process all those empty calories. Low nutrients lead to a poorly functioning metabolism.
Even when we do our best to eat well, we are faced with processed, GMO foods, preservatives, artificial flavorings labeled “natural,” and exposure to herbicides and pesticides. Eating organic meats, fruits, vegetables and dairy products can help, but sadly, 20% of organic foods may also contain herbicides and pesticides due to cross-contamination. Our factory farm-raised meats come loaded with hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, preservatives like nitrates and higher levels of inflammatory omega-6 fats.
Our soil conditions have also changed. Nutrient losses in some foods are up 98.5%. In 1914, an apple contained almost half the minimum daily requirement of iron, but today, it takes 26 apples to get the same amount of iron, according to Bernard Jensen’s Empty Harvest.
In addition, our digestive tract may be compromised by low stomach acid. By age 50, 50% of people do not have enough stomach acid. Perhaps you are taking an antacid. Acid is in the stomach for a reason. First, to kill off the bacteria, viruses and parasites we eat every day, and secondly, to begin to digest our food. Without acid, we are more at risk for intestinal infections and malabsorption of nutrients. Research shows that the use of antacids creates nutrient deficiencies and can lead to chronic illnesses. This leads to fatigue and brain fog. Consider adding apple cider vinegar or betaine HCL to your meals.
Simple Solution 2: Get Tested for Food Sensitivities & Nutrient Deficiencies
Most of my patients have documented IgG food sensitivities and/or gluten sensitivity when tested using Cyrex labs. I recommend this lab (I do not get paid by them), in contrast to some labs that show results that are false negatives and inaccurate.
Specialty labs can determine a digestive issue or hidden GI infection. Be sure to have your vitamin D levels tested and supplement accordingly.
“Suboptimal intake of some vitamins is a risk factor for chronic diseases and common in the general population. Most people do not consume an optimal amount of all vitamins by diet alone,” state Harvard Medical School researchers.
Specialty tests are the foundation to personalized health, followed by treatment with effective natural therapies.
Simple Solution 3: Use Nutrient IV Therapy
When you simply cannot afford to be sick or lack energy, schedule IV therapy. While healthy lifestyles are the cornerstone of health, nothing beats the power of nutrient IV therapy (Myers Cocktails) used to support the healing of many chronic illnesses and common acute infections. IV therapy combines magnesium, calcium, B vitamins, vitamin C and other nutrients to safely and effectively treat a variety of chronic conditions, including depression, fibromyalgia and digestive tract issues.
Delivered intravenously, the nutrients bypass the digestive tract, bathing the body in nutrients. Plus, IV treatment works faster and delivers concentrations of nutrients that are impossible to obtain from oral doses.
Energy, great health and happiness result when you follow these three simple solutions.
