Community Leaders Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County (BBSVC), a one-to-one youth mentoring organization, recently appointed two new officers to its Board of Directors. The new appointments are President Eric Mandell, VP, Senior Commercial Lender at CDC Small Business Finance, and Treasurer Jesus Garcia, AVP of Member Experience at CBC Federal Credit Union.
“The mission of BBSVC is to build and professionally support relationships that ignite the biggest possible future for the county’s youth. We are excited to welcome our new officers who will help us accomplish our goal of serving 1,500 youth across Ventura County” says the agency’s CEO, Lynne West.
A strong believer in community service, Eric Mandell of Thousand Oaks served as President of the American Heart Association, Board member of the American Cancer Society and the Conejo Valley Little League, and as a member of the BBSVC board since 2017. Jesus Garcia of Camarillo serves on the BBSVC board because of his commitment to mentorship. He understands the power of positive role models and credits career mentors for his greatest advancements.
