Go Red for Women Inspires & Educates

Actress Mariel Hemingway keynoted Ventura County’s Go Red for Women luncheon at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. Hundreds of women attended the annual event, which included a wellness expo and educational sessions. The American Heart Association event aims to raise awareness about risk factors and prevention of heart disease—the No. 1 killer of women. 

Montecito Bank & Trust Grants Awards

Local nonprofit representatives joined Montecito Bank & Trust employees at the bank’s annual Anniversary Grants reception. Heading into its 43rd anniversary, the Bank awarded grants of $2,000 to each of the 10 local nonprofits, all hand-selected by employees after they campaigned, rallied and voted for the organizations that mean so much to them.

Operation Blankets of Love Founder, Eileen Smulson, and her certified therapy dog, Ginger, lead the charge to help homeless animals find forever homes through outreach and education. The girls collectively contributed 8,000+ service hours to 23 local philanthropies. The nonprofit organization of mothers and daughters in Grades 7-12 fosters community responsibility through philanthropy, leadership activities and cultural events.

Montecito Bank & Trust Awards $1 Million to Local Nonprofits

Montecito Bank & Trust hosted its 14th annual Community Dividends Awards at Four Seasons The Biltmore in Santa Barbara to honor 203 local Santa Barbara and Ventura County nonprofits. Awards totaling $1 million were presented by Chairman Michael Towbes and President and CEO Janet A. Garufis.
