The Morton Team: Caring for Community 1

At Keller Williams Westlake Village, a team of women stands out from the crowd for many reasons. The Morton Team International has linked talented individuals who cooperatively work as a team in their business model. Teamwork is defined as the combined action of a group of people, especially when effective and efficient. If a problem arises, “two heads are better than one.” Working together as a team allows each individual to bring their own talents to the table for the betterment of the group.

Not only does The Morton Team practice teamwork in business, there is also a sense of community by being supportive of shared causes. This team of women also comes together to help achieve the common goal of supporting needs in their community.

Recently, The Morton Team toured Gabriel’s House in Oxnard and provided needed supplies to benefit the women and children it serves. Gabriel’s House is a place of hope that cares for the orphans and widows of Ventura County in their distress.

Director Cindy Wilson explained how Gabriel’s House supports women while keeping them accountable and responsible for their future. A warm bed and a safe haven providing emergency shelter, food and clothing give the families a place to call home and help restore their self-esteem, while resources (jobs, education, training, planning and the development of financial and homemaking skills) are available to help them find permanent solutions to end the risk of homelessness.

The Morton Team is proud to support Gabriel’s House, as it strengthens the community and empowers the women and children to be healed and live independently. Throughout the year, The Morton Team will provide ongoing support for this important cause by planting a vegetable and flower garden and supporting additional projects as needed. The Morton Team is thankful for the opportunity to serve our community in the Real Estate industry and by giving back to support those in need.
